Watch: James Pattinson, who announced his retirement from international cricket last month, sent Peter Nevill on his way with a hooping inswinger in a Sheffield Shield match between Victoria and New South Wales.

In the ongoing Shield game, Pattinson dismissed former Australia wicketkeeper Nevill for 1 with a ball that tailed in to the right-hander before beating his defence to leave New South Wales 148-6.

Pattinson finished up with figures of 2-32 from 17.1 overs as New South Wales were bowled out for 233 on the opening day of the fixture.

The 31-year-old quick ended his decade-long Australia career last month; his 21 Test appearances returned 81 wickets at an average of 26.33.
