Watch: India international Prasidh Krishna took 10-94 against Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy.

Karnataka elected to bat first and got 302 at the back of Karun Nair’s 175. Jammu and Kashmir responded positively, their openers adding 55 runs in the first 12 overs.

It was then that the side ran into a high-class spell of fast bowling from Krishna. Over the next 52 balls, Jammy and Kashmir lost 7-20 in a dramatic collapse.

The fast bowler made good use of his height and pace, hitting an impeccable length to outwit the Jammu and Kashmir batters. He ended with 6-34 as Jammu and Kashmir were bowled out for 93.

Karnataka didn’t enforce the follow-on and set a massive target of 508 runs. In the fourth innings, the Jammu and Kashmir batters showed some fight. Ian Dev Singh scored a hundred while Abdul Samad notched a 78-ball 70.

However, Krishna returned to haunt them in the second innings as well. He returned figures 4-59, helping to clean up the tail. Karnataka won the game by 117 runs.

Despite Krishna’s efforts, the player of the match award went to Nair for his 246 runs in the game.
