Playing for Lahore Region Blues in the National T20 Cup, Hunain Shah put up a solid performance against Peshawar Region, bowling three overs for 25 runs and picking up two wickets in the process.
Hunain is the brother of Naseem Shah, one of the leading young fast bowlers in the world, and has been making a mark of his own on Pakistan’s domestic cricket circuit of late.
In this game, Lahore won the toss and elected to field first. Mohammad Haris took Peshawar off to a good start. Having reached his fifty, he was looking dangerous when Hunain delivered the perfect inswinging yorker to which Haris had no answer.
He stepped out and made room to slice it through the off-side but was beaten by the movement, the accuracy, and the speed as the ball crashed into his stumps to end his knock at 55 off 31 balls.
Hunain dismissed the other Peshawar opener too, Sahibzada Farhan, taking his tally of wickets in the tournament to nine from six games.
