Watch: Prithvi Shaw broke multiple records with his blistering 227* against Puducherry in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, taking Mumbai to a 233-run win in his first game as skipper.
The 21-year-old slammed 31 fours and five sixes at the top of the order and remained unbeaten as Mumbai posted 457-4 in their 50 overs. His 227* is now the highest individual score in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy as well as the highest List-A score by an India captain.
Shaw, who was left out of the India squad after an ordinary run of form with the bat in Australia, has come into his own in the domestic circuit. The right-hander is the top-scorer in the Vijay Hazare trophy, having accumulated a mammoth 366 runs in just three innings.
