Watch: Aiden Markram continued his excellent SA20 campaign with the ball in the final, bowling Colin Ingram during an economical spell.

Markram ended with 1-17 in his four overs, taking his tally of wickets to 11 at an economy rate of 6.19 runs per over. He followed up a stunning century in the semi-final with a top performance with the ball.

The SA20 final was delayed by a day due to inclement weather, and the first innings of the showpiece clash swung to and fro. After losing two wickets in two balls, a spree of boundaries helped Pretoria Capitals to 56-2 after the powerplay. Two more quick wickets followed, before another recovery tot 101-4 with more than five overs left.

However, from a position where 160 looked possible, Markram set in motion a dramatic slide, with the pitch taking turn. He located the dream off-spinner’s delivery to the left-hander, pitching the ball on middle stump and turning it away to strike off.

Ingram was beaten all ends up, and Paarl Capitals subsided to 135 all out.
