The Kiwi international was at his best in the game, hitting a quick 91 off just 41 balls at the County Ground at Bristol. His knock included six maximums, but it was his reverse scoop that garnered most attention.
During the 18th over of the innings, Phillips took guard wide off the leg stump, which forced Daniel Douthwaite to aim at the stumps. Phillips, however, launched a reverse scoop that flew over third man for a huge six, which helped his team score 23 runs off the over.
