Watch: Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah took an astonishing catch off his own bowling during the ongoing 2022 Pakistan Cup.
The dismissal took place during the second semi-final of the Pakistan Cup, played between Sindh and Balochistan. In the 44th over of Sindh innings, the side needed 55 runs off 38 balls. The batter, Hasan Mohsin, advanced down the track, with Yasir bowling one that held a bit in the air after pitching. The batter was forced to check his shot, and chose to play down the track instead.
He chipped it back to Yasir, who dived to his left, grabbing the ball as he leapt to one side of the pitch. Balochistan went on to win the game by 13 runs.
Yasir, one of Pakistan’s premier leg-spinners, hasn’t played an international game since the side toured the Caribbean in August last year. His last ODI dates back to 2019.
