Deol, stationed at wide long-off, was called into action when Amy Jones lofted a full delivery from Shikha Pandey over covers. Positioned right on the ropes, she first stretched full length to grab the ball overhead, but the momentum carried her past the boundary line. Right before she hopped to the other side, she flicked the ball in the air, took a step outside the boundary, and then turned around to dive back and complete the effort.
His ecstatic teammates were around her in no time, with the reserve players and support staff, too, running in to congratulate her. Not long after, clips of the effort went viral on social media.
Former and current players including Sachin Tendulkar and Lisa Sthalekar reshared the video on social media, praising Deol for her agility.
