Watch: In a dramatic start to the first T20I between India and South Africa, Arshdeep Singh took three wickets in the second over of the match to leave South Africa reeling at 8-4.
With South Africa already a wicket down after Temba Bavuma fell to Deepak Chahar in the first over, the young India fast bowler dismissed Quinton de Kock with his second delivery, the opener dragging a cut shot onto his stumps. After a crunching drive to the boundary by Aiden Markram and two wide deliveries, Arshdeep regained control by enticing Rilee Rossouw to play at a wide delivery which was nicked through to the keeper.
The left-armer closed out his over by sending David Miller back to the dug-out for a golden duck with a booming inswinger which sailed between Miller’s bat and pad, clattering into middle-stump. The over was a magic display of swing bowling which left the South Africa batters scrambling for their pads and the India team gleeful in celebration.
