Archana opened the bowling with Titas Sadhu after Shafali Verma asked England to bat at Senwes Park. She struck twice in quick succession after Sadhu caught Liberty Heap off her own bowling in the first over.
Niamh Holland tried to scoop her off-break past wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh, but the off-break spun as well as bounced to beat the bat and hit the stumps.
Captain Grace Scrivens went next when G Trisha sprinted in from long-off before diving forwards to complete the catch, leaving England reeling at 16-3 after four overs.
Sadhu soon bowled wicketkeeper Seren Smale. Charis Pavely and Alexa Stonehouse then added 17 before Parshavi Chopra trapped the former leg-before.
Four runs later, MacDonald-Gay hit Chopra to the right of Archana at extra-cover. The ball did not rise, and Archana was left with little option but to go for a one-handed catch. She flung herself to her left to pull off an outstanding catch without much fuss.
England were bowled out for 69, a total that surprisingly included four scores in double-figures: MacDonald-Gay (19), Stonehouse (11), Sophia Smale (11), and Holland (10). India completed a seven-wicket win.
Archana did not after her first spell of 3-0-17-2. Apart from her, Sadhu (4-0-6-2) and Chopra (4-0-13-2) finished with two wickets apiece.
