Dravid, who skippered Rajasthan Royals and opened the batting for them then, came up against the fiery Australian fast bowler in the first over of the game. After playing out three dot balls, he dispatched Johnson for four with an off-drive.
The Australian then decided to say a few words to the batsman, following up on a tense interaction they had had in the previous game. Tempers flared at both ends, as Dravid responded with uncanny aggression.
He first said a few angry words to the bowler, before channelling his anger into his batting. The right-hander then flicked Johnson for a four in the next over. Then, to the astonishment of the viewers, he cupped his hand to his ear, challenging the bowler to continue with his sledge.
There have hardly been any angry moments from Rahul Dravid over the years. This incident, however, was an exception to the norm.
