Watch: Shahid Afridi hit Shaheen Afridi, his soon-to-be son-in-law, for a six during an open nets session before giving the quick a few batting tips ahead of the PSL later this month.

Shaheen has been recovering from a knee injury sustained during the 2022 T20 World Cup against England. However, he seems well on track to full fitness after he returned to training ahead of the PSL on February 13.

Shaheen was involved in a duel with Shahid, who until recently was the interim chief of the selection committee for the PCB. Videos show the two facing each other during training, with Shahid smashing the youngster for a six. Shaheen later reshared the footage of the incident and wrote: “Always a pleasure playing with you Lala – lekin asal mei out tha [in reality, it was out].”

Shahid was later seen bowling to Shaheen and gave the 22-year-old some batting tips on his stance and bat swing.
