Put into bat by the Royals, Guyana got off to a rapid start courtesy of in-form Saim Ayub and Odean Smith, who was promoted to open the innings. Hope came in to bat at No.3 at the score of 35.
Hope hit three fours and a six off the first eight balls he faced to race to 26. He reached his fifty – his fifth in this CPL season – in the 11th over, off just 23 balls.
At the end of the 15th over, the Warriors were 153-2, and Hope was batting on 69 off 35 balls. Cornwall came in to bowl the final over of his spell, having conceded 0-23 off his first three. What followed was utter carnage.

Hope fetched the first ball from outside off towards the long-on boundary for four. Each of the next three was deposited over the mid-wicket fence, two off short balls outside off and one of a fuller one on the pads.
Cornwall tried to correct his line further and ended up dishing another half-tracker, this time almost outside the wide line. Hope shuffled across and cut in front of square for a four.
Cornwall responded with a high full toss on the pads that Hope smashed over the leg side for the fourth six of the over to bring up his first T20 hundred.
By the time Jason Holder dismissed him, Hope had made 106 off 44 balls, having hit nine fours and eight sixes at a strike rate of 241. His last nine balls fetched 37 runs.
The Warriors finished on 226-7 and won the game by a massive margin of 88 runs.
