Watch: Saurashtra seamer Chirag Jani took a spectacular hat-trick in the Vijay Hazare Trophy final as he nailed three yorkers to claim three victims in three balls.
Jani’s efforts would help Saurashtra restrict their opponents Maharashtra to 248-9 off their 50 overs, before his team would chase down the total with more than three overs and five wickets in hand to win their second Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Jani, who took 10 wickets across the competition at an average of 34.30, first removed wicketkeeper Saurabh Nawale, before clean bowling Rajvardhan Hangargekar and trapping Vicky Ostwal lbw.
It capped off what had already been an eventful innings for Jani who had also completed a direct hit run-out at the start of the innings. Jani would finish with figures of 3-43 off his ten overs, his best figures of the tournament.
