Watch: Indian wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan smashed two sixes to help Jharkhand secure a thrilling two-wicket victory over Madhya Pradesh in the 2024 Buchi Babu Tournament on Sunday (August 18).
In the four-day match which began on August 15, Madhya Pradesh had registered 225 batting first, courtesy of Shubham Kushwah's 84. Jharkhand managed to take a 64-run lead as Kishan slammed 114 off 107 balls.
MP were then bowled out for 238 in their second innings despite a century from Aniket Verma. With a target of 175 in the fourth innings, Jharkhand appeared to be on track at 101-4, when Kishan came out to the middle.

However, Kumar Suraj and Ravi Yadav departed in quick succession before Vivekanand Tiwary hung around with Kishan. But once he was dismissed, Manishi soon followed to leave Jharkhand at 162-8.
In the 55th over of the innings, with 12 runs still needed for victory, Kishan decided to attack. Against the left-arm spin of Akash Rajawat, he attempted a massive heave off the first ball, but missed and survived a stumping appeal.
Kishan connected with the next ball, sending it for six. He tried again off the third ball, but was rapped on the pad before sending the fourth one for six in identical fashion to seal the win.
