Michael Vaughan did not seem to impress Mark Waugh with his shot at the ‘toilet roll challenge’, as the Australian equated Vaughan’s first touch to that of a baby elephant, after the former England skipper took to Twitter to put up a video of his attempt.
With long periods of isolation in order, and no sporting action in sight, sportspeople and fans have been keeping themselves busy with social media challenges, entertaining themselves as well as others. Vaughan, who retired from all forms of cricket in 2009, wished his fans a good morning on Friday, along with a video of him doing keepy uppies in his garden with a toilet roll.

The ‘toilet roll challenge’, also dubbed the ’10 touch challenge’ and the ‘stay at home challenge’, requires you to kick up a toilet roll ten times. Recently, football star Lionel Messi attempted the challenge, after being nominated by his former Barcelona teammate Xavi.

After four taps, Vaughan lobbed the roll over the wall, leaving himself in pursuit of it. Nominated by Nicky Byrne for the challenge, Vaughan himself extended a challenge to Joe Root, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Sam Curran, Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne, Stuart Broad, Sam Burgess, Luke Burgess, Tom Curran and Tom Banton.
