Uttarakhand Premier League 2024 got underway on September 15. In the tournament opener, Haridwar Spring Elmas beat Dehradun Warriors with four balls to spare. Aditya Tare (73 in 41 balls) helped Dehradun amass 179-6, but Saurabh Rawat (97 not out in 49) saw Haridwar home with four wickets in hand.
The tournament features five teams – Nainital SG Pipers, Pithoragarh Hurricanes, USN Indians, and the abovementioned two teams from Dehradun and Haridwar. The five teams will play each other in round-robin league format between September 15 and September 20.
The second- and third-placed teams will clash in the Eliminator on September 21, while the final will be played on September 22. The entire tournament will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun.
Apart from Tare – former captain of Mumbai – the tournament will also feature the likes of Akash Madhwal and Swapnil Singh, both of whom have impressed at the IPL.
