The Uttarakhand Premier League is the latest state-level franchise T20 tournament to spring up in India. Cricket Association of Uttarakhand, which got its full membership from BCCI only in 2019, will be the organisers of the tournament.
The first season of UPL will start on June 22, 2023, and will run till June 30. A total of six teams will be participating in the tournament. They include Dehradun Dabangs, Udhamsingh Nagar Tigers, Nainital Ninjas, Tehri Titans, Haridwar Heroes, and Pithoragarh Champs.

IPL 2023’s breakout star, Akash Madhwal, of Mumbai Indians; left-arm seamer Rajan Kumar, who was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore for IPL 2023; and former Mumbai wicketkeeper Aditya Tare, who has shifted base to Uttarakhand, will all be seen in action alongside the local talent.
