The USA will host an ICC full-member team for the first time when they welcome Ireland for a short limited-overs series from December 22. The two teams have played each other on four occasions in T20s in the past, with Ireland winning all four matches. The last time the two teams faced each other was way back in 2015, when Ireland had defeated the USA by 46 runs during the ICC World T20 Qualifiers.

Ireland were earlier scheduled to play a warm-up game on December 20, which was cancelled after a number of players from USA were tested Covid-19 positive. The visiting team will now play an intra-squad match ahead of the series. They will then travel to West Indies to take part in a three-match ODI series along with one T20I from January 8.

All matches between the two teams will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida.
