West Indies travel to the UAE for a three-match ODI series as both teams prepare for the World Cup Qualifier. The first game is set to be played on June 4, and the series will be rounded out over the following five days.

All three matches are to be played at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, and are day-night games. Play is set to start at 4:30 pm (local time) for each match of the series.
Other than the two official warm-up games, this series will be the only competitive cricket the West Indies will play before taking part in the World Cup Qualifier tournament which begins on June 18 in Zimbabwe.
Having played very little ODI cricket this year, other than a three-match series in South Africa in March, this series will prove vital in terms of finalising details and plans ahead of the West Indies’ bid to qualify for the Cricket World Cup in India in October.
The UAE are yet to name their squad, but West Indies have announced their 15-man travelling squad. Shai Hope will captain and take the gloves, while top-order batter Brandon King is vice-captain.
Shamarh Brooks, Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Kavem Hodge, Keemo Paul, Raymon Reifer and Devon Thomas make up the rest of the batting line-up, while the bowlers include Akeem Jordan, Yannic Cariah, Dominic Drakes, Gudakesh Motie and Odean Smith.
The UAE recently impressed by qualifying for the final of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup. However, they were thrashed by Nepal, who bowled them out for 117 and chased down the target in 30.3 overs.
