Mills, along with CricViz analyst Freddie Wilde and host Yas Rana, was speaking about the greatest bowlers in T20 history when he revealed players tended to think about their next big contract and put the team’s needs on the back burner.

“T20 cricket, in particular, can be a very selfish place,” Mills said. “Everybody’s there to get a contract next year, or the next draft. You can be in a situation where you don’t care whether your team wins or loses. If you pick up 3-20, then you’re not that bothered.”
The best T20 team, as per the English speedster, are the ones that create a culture where the players “care about their team and help each other.”
“The best and the most successful teams, they create that culture where you care about your team and help each other,” Mills added. “One of the big things when I was at Quetta [Gladiators, PSL] this year, was trying to help Naseem Shah and [Mohammad] Hasnain as much as possible because we were often the three pacers in the team. So I’d do my best to try and help those guys out.
“It’s kind of your duty when you’re an overseas player, and you go to these foreign places to try and do something a little bit more than what you do on the pitch, that’s how I go about it.”
