The sixth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League will begin from June 23 and run till July 31 — here’s where you can watch TNPL 2022 along with the TV and live streaming details.
A total of 32 games will be held over 39 days in the TNPL 2022, a T20 league organised by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. Eight sides, Chepauk Super Gillies, Nellai Royals Kings, Dindigul Dragons, Ruby Trichy Warriors, Siechem Madurai Panthers, Salem Spartans, Lyca Kovai Kings and IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, will play seven league games, after which the top four will advance for the playoffs. The league stages will be held till July 24, with the last four beginning on July 26.
The top two teams after the first round will lock horns in Qualifier 1, with the losing side advancing to Qualifier 2, and the winner going to the final. The third and fourth-placed teams will play the Eliminator, with the winner advancing to Qualifier 2, and the winner going through to the final.
The first edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League was held in 2016. The 2020 edition was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Chepauk Super Gillies have won the tournament on three occasions, in 2017, 2019 and 2021, while Salem Spartans and Siechem Madurai Panthers have been the other winners.
The 2022 season will be held in four venues: Tirunelveli, Dindigul, Coimbatore, and Salem.

Players such as Murugan Ashwin, Vijay Shankar, Sai Kishore, Sandeep Warrier, Varun Chakravarthy, and T Natarajan will turn out in the competition. Dinesh Karthik was originally picked in the squad to represent IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, but will miss out due to international duties.
