England Women’s tour of Sri Lanka will not be broadcast, with BBC’s Test Match Special missing out on commentary rights for the three ODIs and T20Is.

A tweet from TMS on Tuesday stated that the show was unable to secure commentary rights in time due to late confirmation of the tour.

The tweet followed confirmation from Women’s CricZone that the series will not be broadcast or streamed live.

While squads for both the tour of India and Sri Lanka were announced in early February, the schedule for the Sri Lanka-leg was only revealed on February 21.

England enter the series on the back of a 3-0 T20I whitewash over India, which was preceded by a 2-1 series defeat in the ODIs.

The first ODI against Sri Lanka will be played on March 16.
