Mohammad Amir has played in three different T20 competitions in less than a week, flying to Canada following finishing his stint playing in the UK.

Mohammad Amir has been busy in the last few weeks, playing for the Derbyshire Falcons in the T20 Blast after representing Pakistan at the T20 World Cup in North America. He was due to be available for the entirety of the Blast group stages, and took three wickets in five games upon arrival.

However, Amir's stay in the UK was slightly extended when he was drafted in by Oval Invincibles for their Hundred 2024 curtain-raiser against the Birmingham Phoenix. Spencer Johnson, due to join the Invincibles squad, was delayed by Major League Cricket commitments, meaning Amir was drafted into the squad for a single game. Amir did not disappoint, bowling 10 dot balls out of his spell of 15 and taking 2-7 as the defending champions opened their campaign with a dominant win.

With his one-match Hundred deal completed, Amir returned to North America for the GT20 to play for the Vancouver Knights. He stepped out for the Knights for the first time in this year's competition two days after his performance at The Oval in London but fell first ball after the Knights were put in to bat.

He then bowled two overs as the Toronto Nationals chased down their target with more than five overs to spare. Amir bowled two overs in the chase, conceding seven runs.

The PCB has denied NOCs to other Pakistan international cricketers like Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam to take part in the GT20.
