The men’s Hundred 2023 – updated points table, team-wise standings and net run-rate for each team in the men’s Hundred.
The Hundred 2023, the third season of the 100-ball franchise cricket competition in the UK, is being played for both the men’s and women’s teams, and will run until August 27, 2023.
Eight teams – Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Manchester Originals, Southern Braves, Trent Rockets, Oval Invincibles, Welsh Fire and Northern Superchargers – are part of the competition for both the men’s and women’s tournaments. Ahead of the season, each team retained ten players, while signing up new ones at the player draft, which took place in May.
It was also the first time a women’s draft was held for the competition.
A total of 64 matches in the league stage – 32 each for the men and women – are scheduled to be held this season, with all teams set to play four matches at home, and four away. Each match lasts two and a half hours.
The tournament closely follows the Major League Cricket 2023 in the US, and comes on the back of a riveting Ashes. Just ahead of the tournament, Rashid Khan announced his unavailability, landing a big blow to the Trent Rockets, and the competition overall.
According to the format, the top three teams for the league stage will qualify to meet in the knockout leg. The first-placed team will advance to the final, where they will meet the winner of the semi-final between the second and third-ranked sides.
