Each of the eight Hundred sides have named the players they wish to retain from the 2023 season. Women’s teams can keep a maximum of eight players in their squad while men’s teams can keep ten plus one centrally contracted England player. Following the retention deadline in February, all squads will be completed in the draft as teams pick players one by one.
The order in which teams will pick players is based off their finishing position in the previous season. Because Northern Superchargers finished in last place in the 2023 men’s tournament, they will get the first pick of the draft, with Birmingham Phoenix getting first pick for the women’s draft.
