The 21st edition of the T20 Blast will start on May 20 with Birmingham Bears locking horns with Yorkshire Vikings and Derbyshire Falcons competing against Lancashire Lightning.
A total of eighteen teams will participate in the tournament, divided into two groups of nine teams each. The groups are as follows:
North Group
Birmingham Bears, Derbyshire Falcons, Durham, Lancashire Lightning, Leicestershire Foxes, Northants Steelbacks, Notts Outlaws, Worcestershire Rapids, and Yorkshire Vikings
South Group
Essex Eagles, Glamorgan, Gloucestershire, Hampshire Hawks, Kent Spitfires, Middlesex, Somerset, Surrey, and Sussex Sharks

Each team will play 14 games in the league stage – seven home and seven away. The top four teams from each group will then qualify for the quarter-finals. The two semi-finals and the final will take place on the same day, known as Finals Day, on July 15.

Hampshire Hawks are the defending champions. They defeated Lancashire Lightning in an extremely tight finish in the final last year, winning the game by one run. James Vince was the highest run-scorer in the tournament last year, scoring 678 runs in 16 innings, while Richard Gleeson was the highest wicket-taker, taking 25 wickets in 15 games.

T20 Blast 2023: Where to watch live across TV and digital
On TV: Sky Sports will broadcast 25 games in the UK, while Sony Sports Network will broadcast those same games on TV in India.
Live streaming: Every non-televised game will be live-streamed on ecb.co.uk and the England Cricket app. The counties will also live stream their non-televised home matches on their website or social media channels. In India, the T20 Blast will be live-streamed on the Sony Liv app and website.
On radio: Ball-by-ball coverage of every T20 Blast game will be available on the BBC local radio stations. Extensive coverage will also be available on 5 Live Sports Extra.
