Suresh Raina has seemingly followed MS Dhoni into international retirement, as per a cryptic post on his Instagram account.
Dhoni also confirmed his apparent retirement on Instagram, posting a video with the accompanying caption: “Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired [sic]”
Raina, Dhoni’s teammate at IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings, posted: “It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781 . With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey.”
The official CSK Twitter account posted a tweet expressing surprise at the dual decision, but thanking each.

Raina played the last of his 226 ODIs in July 2018. He scored 5615 runs at 35.31, with five hundreds and 36 fifties. He was part of the team which won the 2011 Cricket World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. The left-hander only played 18 Tests but did manage a century on debut, and also scored a T20I century among his 78 caps in that format.
