Stuart Broad has revealed what training looks like for England’s bowlers as part of their new individual training programme.
From Thursday, up to 18 bowlers will make their return to individual training across seven venues as England begin preparing in the hopes of staging international cricket this summer.
On his Instagram story Broad disclosed that he was one of those bowlers making his return and displayed what was required of him to make it to the session.
Prior to departing for his session at Trent Bridge, Broad checked his own temperature with a digital thermometer and subsequently recorded that it was under 37.5°C on an app.
Broad then went to his home ground where he had an allocated parking spot, with a route then laid out for him to access the pitch. He also showed a box of cricket balls for him to use.
A clip on his account showed him bowling into an empty net, which forms part of the ECB’s guidelines for this first phase in the return to training. A physio was also in attendance, while Broad also displayed that he had his own assigned toilet.
For now, it is just England’s bowlers who have been granted permission to make their return, with batsmen and wicketkeepers to begin their individual training on June 1.
