Eoin Morgan had earlier named Olly Stone as one of two specialist seam bowlers in their line-up for the match.
The uncapped paceman, who was handed his cap by Darren Gough, was set to share the new ball with Chris Woakes, while Liam Dawson was included as a third specialist spinner alongside Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid.
