January 2024
Three ODIs and three T20Is against Zimbabwe at home will kickstart Sri Lanka’s 2024 international cricket calendar.
Sri Lanka v Afghanistan (home)
January 2024 – February 2024
Sri Lanka will host Afghanistan for three T20Is, three ODIs and a one-off Test between January 23 and February 10. At their last meeting in any format, Afghanistan clinched a historic seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Bangladesh v Sri Lanka (away)
February 2024 – March 2024
Two Tests, a three-match ODI and a three-match Test series in Bangladesh will mark their first overseas tour of the year. During their previous visit, they defeated the hosts 1-0 in a Test series. Over the years, the Bangladesh-Sri Lanka rivalry has been high-octane.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup
June 2024
Sri Lanka will be eyeing their second T20 World Cup trophy since winning their maiden title in 2014. The USA and the West Indies are the joint hosts of the upcoming edition.

Three ODIs followed by a three-match T20I series against India at home. The first time they will be hosting India since 2021.
England v Sri Lanka (away)
August 2024 – September 2024
Sri Lanka will fly to England for three Test matches between August 21 and September 10. In 2021, they were trounced 0-3 in a T20I series by the home side before losing the three-match ODI series 0-2.

A two-match Test series against New Zealand at home.

Three ODIs and Three T20Is against West Indies in October in their backyard

Sri Lanka will welcome New Zealand for the second time this year for three ODIs and three T20Is in November following their red-ball series in September.
South Africa v Sri Lanka (away)
November 2024 – December 2024
Two Tests in South Africa at the fag end of 2024. Sri Lanka are still the only subcontinental side to win a Test series in the country, owing to their 2-0 whitewash in 2019.
New Zealand v Sri Lanka (away)
December 2024 – January 2024
Three ODIs and three T20Is in their 2024/25 away tour to New Zealand will wrap up their cricketing calendar.
