A simple app could make everyone involved at your club’s lives a lot easier. Find out more about Slate now.

Are you a cricket captain or team manager tasked with collecting match fees each week? Do you end up with piles of change, regular shortfalls and little idea who’s paid what? Perhaps you’re the poor treasurer who has to make sense of each tattered envelope of cash and somehow straighten out the books? If you recognise any of that, you’ll be pretty delighted to hear about Slate.

What is Slate?

Slate is a straightforward, easy-to-use app for clubs that allows them to keep moving forward in line with technology. It removes the hassle of collecting cash payments for match fees, nets, subs – or anything else. Instead, payments are made quickly and securely via mobile so players no longer have to remember to carry cash.

The app and desktop reporting function enables clubs to keep track of who’s paid and send automatic reminders to those who haven’t. Some of the clubs already using Slate have reported savings in excess of £1,000 per season through a reduction in unpaid match fees.

How it works

Your club registers with Slate, you add player info – including an email address – and the club’s bank account details. Your players sign up to the app with their bank account details, the captain picks his players – and they pay with the touch of a couple of buttons. No more need for emergency trips to a cash point!

Treasurers can download all the data collected in XL format on desktop so as to keep a record of money in, out and who owes what.

Who’s it for?

Team captains, club treasurers and cricket administrators, Slate is designed specifically to make your lives easier. It’s been created by people just like you, and over 50 ECB Premier League and village green clubs are using Slate already.
