SL vs AUS: When does the Test series start?
The two-match Test series begins on January 29 at the Galle International Stadium, which will host both Test matches. After the Test series, the sides will face off in two ODIs, both in Colombo, ahead of the Champions Trophy which gets underway on February 19.

Australia announced their squad for the Test series on January 9. Regular red-ball skipper Pat Cummins is not taking part due to being on paternity leave, as well as "focusing on an ankle issue which was managed through the Test summer". His fitness is set to be monitored ahead of the Champions Trophy, where he is part of Australia's squad.
Stand-in captain Steve Smith had an injury scare while fielding in the Big Bash League last weekend, but has since been cleared to join the squad. Spinner Matthew Kuhnemann had to undergo surgery on his thumb after a BBL injury but is expected to make it to Sri Lanka. Three uncapped players – Josh Inglis, Sean Abbott and Cooper Connolly – are part of the squad.
