The third season of the SA20 will take place next year, with the tournament set to last from January 9 to February 8. Here's a complete list of all the confirmed signings so far.

The SA20 has been one of the most successful franchise leagues following the IPL, with many big names involved every year. It features six sides, all of them owned by IPL franchises. For the last two seasons, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, captained by Aiden Markram, has won the trophy.

Despite there being still six months to go until the next edition, marquee names are set to feature in SA20 2025. The most high-profile of these is England Test captain Ben Stokes, who will reportedly feature for the tournament for the first time, as well as England teammate and Stokes’s predecessor as national captain, Joe Root.

South Africa stars are all likely to feature again, with little movement expected around the biggest local names. Ryan Rickleton was the leading run scorer in the competition last year for MI Cape Town, while Marco Jansen led the wicket-taking standings for Sunrisers.

While the deadline for retaining players has now passed, the sides have yet to announce who among the SA20 2024 squads have been retained. An auction will take place in September to fill the remaining spots following retention and overseas signings: these can be announced until August 31.
