The series will then move on to play the second and third matches in North Sydney. This comes before the one off Test match to cap of the series which will take place in Perth.
South Africa are being captained by Laura Wolvaardt, who has recently been appointed the full-time leader in all formats, while Chloe Tryon has returned to the playing group after injury. Ayanda Hlubi has been selected for South Africa in their ODI squad for the first time.
Alana King, having not been selected for the T20I part of the tour, will return to Australia’s squad for the ODIs, with Grace Harris making way from the T20I squad.
In the T20I series, South Africa beat Australia for the first time ever in any format, winning by six wickets with an over to spare after bowling the hosts out for 142. Wolvaardt led the victory with an unbeaten half-century.
