Gauteng all-rounder Neil Brand will captain South Africa A in the three games with the experience of senior members like Keegan Petersen, Tony de Zorzi, Zubayr Hamza, and Duanne Olivier in their ranks.
Dane Paterson, who last featured in a Test for South Africa way back in 2020, has found a spot in the squad along with Dane Peidt, who left cricket in South Africa in 2020 before participating in the CSA 4-day Series Division 2 for the Knights. Having played his only Test for South Africa in 2016, Hardus Viljoen is also part of the squad.
For West Indies A, Joshua Da Silva has been named the skipper for his prior experience at the helm during their 1-0 victorious tour to Bangladesh early this year with Tevin Imlach as his deputy. Test players in the senior team, Kirk McKenzie, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Jayden Seales, and Shermon Lewis, have been added to the tour. Meanwhile, Shamar Joseph, Abhijai Mansingh, and Kevlon Anderson have earned their maiden call-ups after their first-class debuts in 2023.
