Bangladesh have appointed Russell Domingo as their new head coach.
Domingo replaces Steve Rhodes, who left the role after the conclusion of Bangladesh’s Cricket World Cup campaign in July.
The 44-year-old was previously in charge of South Africa, initially serving as Gary Kirsten’s assistant before taking up the mantle of head coach across all formats in 2013.
His reign came to an end in 2017, and he will now begin a two-year term with the Tigers.

The departure of Rhodes was followed by the appointments of Charl Langeveldt as the national side’s fast-bowling coach, with Daniel Vettori named as a spin-bowling consultant through to next year’s T20 World Cup.
On Domingo’s appointment, Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hassan said: “He has a wealth of experience and we have been very impressed with his passion and coaching philosophy. He has a clear idea of what is required to take the team forward.

“It is a massive honour to be appointed the Head Coach of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team,” said Domingo. “I have followed Bangladesh’s progress with keen interest and I am extremely excited to assist the team in reaching the goals that they are capable of.
“I look forward to continuing the ongoing development of current players whilst also looking towards the future and developing some new bright stars from within the talent pool of Bangladesh cricket.”
