Pace ace Kagiso Rabada revealed on Tuesday that he would be representing South Africa in a virtual FIFA 20 tournament – the FIFA eNations Stay and Play Cup.
Rabada will team up with footballer Sbu Vilakazi, Cassper Nyovest, the rapper, and a professional gamer Thabo Moloi in South Africa’s team, known as the eBafana Bafana.
However, Tabraiz Shamsi, the left-arm wrist-spinner, wondered whether Rabada was indeed the best representative for a FIFA 20 competition among South Africa’s cricketers. He further posted the question to Andile Phehlukwayo, Temba Bavum and Lungi Ngidi.
Bavuma then cheekily responded saying, “I wasn’t available to play due to injury, so I suggested him.”

As many as 40 countries are taking part in Stay and Play Cup, including from Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The teams will compete based on the time zones they fall under, with the team that wins each section winning a prize money that will be donated to a charity of their choosing fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
