The registration process for the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League draft scheduled on January 11 is currently underway – here's the real-time update on the list of players signed up for the PSL 2025 draft so far.
Unlike previous editions, the draft for the Pakistan Super League will be placed later than usual, owing to the reported pushback of the commencement date of the tournament from its regular February-March window. It is set to clash with the IPL now.
For the first time, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have decided to conduct the draft in Balochistan, the country's largest province. As per the latest announcements, the draft will be taking place in the port city of Gwadar.
The PCB announced the pick order for the player draft of the 10 edition of the tournament. Two-time champions Lahore Qalandars will make the first pick in the platinum category followed by Karachi Kings. 2019 title winners Quetta Gladiators will make the third pick, while Peshawar Zalmi will have the fourth.
Defending runners-up, Multan Sultans, and champions Islamabad United will make the fifth and sixth picks, respectively.

Rassie van der Dussen and Martin Guptill make their way back
Van der Dussen has played in the PSL twice, representing Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars in 2023 and 2024, respectively. The South African batter's 512 runs in the league have come at an average of 46.54 and a strike rate of 145.86, including three fifties and a century.
On the other hand, after being released from New Zealand’s central contract in 2022, Guptill has become a freelancer in various global franchise leagues. Guptill has won the title twice, with Karachi Kings in 2020 and Islamabad United in PSL 9, where he struck a match-winning 32-ball 50 in the final.
