
Prithvi Shaw has been named in Mumbai's probables for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, weeks after being dropped from their Ranji squad.
Shaw has been named in the 28-member squad for the T20 tournament that also includes India discards Ajinkya Rahane and Shreyas Iyer, as well as Shardul Thakur. The announcement came on Shaw's 25th birthday, with the Mumbai Cricket Association panel of Sanjay Patil (Chairman), Ravi Thaker, Jeetendra Thackeray, Kiran Powar and Vikrant Yeligeti finalising the players.
He last played T20s during IPL 2024, where he was dropped mid-season by Delhi Capitals. Since then, he's represented Northamptonshire in the County Championship and One-Day Cup, while also scoring a fighting 76 in the Irani Cup match between Mumbai and Rest of India.
