Liam Plunkett will feature for Melbourne Stars in the 2018/19 Big Bash League.
The England fast bowler, who has 94 ODI appearances under his belt, has replaced Lancashire’s Matt Parkinson after the leg-spinner was ruled out with a back injury.
Plunkett will join his new teammates for the second half of the BBL when Nepalese star Sandeep Lamichhane departs for the Bangladesh Premier League.

The 33-year-old, who recently joined Surrey from Yorkshire, has been one of the mainstays of England’s ODI attack over the past few years.

Sussex’s Barbados-born all-rounder Jofra Archer, who could make his England debut in 2019 after the ECB relaxed its residency rules, is also due to play for Hobart Hurricanes, but he hinted earlier this week that he may pull out of the campaign.
