Former Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq tweeted out a video of himself in long, pink hair and wearing makeup, as cricketers continue to find innovative ways to kill time during the global lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In the video, Mushtaq can be seen sporting long pink locks, thanks to a wig, along with lipstick, eyeliner and a blue eye shadow. According to Mushtaq, the credit for the get-up goes to his daughter.

“Stay safe, stay at home with your loved ones and enjoy our clip,” he tweeted along with the clip. “We all are in quarantine. Stay home, stay safe, look beautiful and enjoy with your loved ones.”

The video was met with some praise and laughter from Mushtaq’s fans, including current Pakistan national cricketer Ahmed Shahzad, who wrote: “You are looking gorgeous Saqlain bhai. Too good.”

Maybe Mushtaq should nominate five other cricketers to do the same and this should follow in the path of the toilet roll challenge and become the new favoured pastime among cricketers while they wait for the lockdown to end. And if the number of innovative ways of killing time that have come up during this isolation period is any indication, golf might soon become an obsolete pursuit among cricketers off the field.
