The Pakistan Cricket Board has issued an apology after their coverage of the National T20 Cup encountered problems, much to the frustrations of the fans in Pakistan who took to social media to criticise the PCB.
The National T20 Cup began in Pakistan on Wednesday when Northern took on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Multan. The six-team tournament features some of the biggest names in Pakistan cricket, with Babar Azam, Haris Sohail and Sarfaraz Ahmed among the players participating in the tournament this year.
The coverage of the match, however, didn’t go smoothly. According to reports in Pakistan, the graphics on telecast were poor, and the scoreboards were error-ridden, so much that, according to Geo TV, even the commentators struggled to keep track of the match. Fans on social media also pointed out that the wrong bowlers were displayed on the graphics.

Furthermore, with the PCB restricting the streams to Pakistan, scoring teams the world over struggled as well, ensuring fans had no way to keep up with the match score.
The PCB offers its regrets to the fans for the technical glitch that resulted in the loss of live-scores during the 1st match. This problem was resolved in the 2nd match & the PCB now hopes the graphics will fully support the quality pictures & commentary of the #NationalT20Cup.

“The PCB offers its regrets to the fans for the technical glitch that resulted in the loss of live-scores during the 1st match,” the PCB said in a statement on Twitter. “This problem was resolved in the 2nd match & the PCB now hopes the graphics will fully support the quality pictures & commentary.”
Three more matches have since been played in the tournament, with there being no further reports of glitches in production. Shadab Khan-led Northern lead the six-team table with two wins from as many matches, while Southern Punjab, led by Shan Masood, have lost both their matches so far.
