A 25-strong group of Pakistan’s national cricketers will resume training at Lahore’s National Cricket Academy, starting from June, in preparation for their upcoming tour of England, an ESPNcricinfo report states.
The players will begin training in pairs at the NCA before shifting base to the Gaddafi Stadium, where they will assemble in a larger group. The squad will then fly to England in early July. The players will be kept in a biosecure environment throughout, until the end of the tour in August.
“It seems the Pakistan cricket team will have to remain under a strict bio-secure environment for up to three months,” Wasim Khan, the PCB CEO, said. “Players will be given an option to withdraw if they are still not satisfied with the provisions that will be put in place. Full details will be provided in the coming weeks.”

Logistics of exactly how the camp will proceed are still being worked out by head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis, in consultation with Dr. Sohail Saleem, the head of the PCB’s medical and sports science department.
Pakistan are set to play three Tests and three T20Is in England, starting in August. The tour is not yet a given, as both boards work out the arrangements for players while the UK itself deals with the gradual relaxing of lockdown measures.

The ECB has already briefed the PCB on its plans to keep the players in a biosecure environment, including a two-week quarantine once they arrive in the UK.
