Pakistan Super League – PSL
January-February 2022
The 2022 cricketing schedule for Pakistan cricketers begins with the seventh edition of PSL, with the T20 domestic tournament starting on January 27 and going on till February 27, 2022. A number of domestic and national cricketers feature in the T20 competition, being held across two venues – Karachi and Lahore.

Pakistan v Australia (home)
March-April 2022
Australia’s much-awaited trip to Pakistan, featuring three Tests, three ODIs and a one-off T20I, will be home country’s first international assignment this year. The Tests will begin on March 03, the ODIs on March 29 and the T20I will be held on April 05.
Pakistan v West Indies (home)
June 2022
The side will play three ODIs against a visiting West Indies outfit in June. The rescheduled series will see matches played from June 8 to 12.
Sri Lanka v Pakistan (away)
July-August 2022
Pakistan were originally set to travel to Sri Lanka to play two Tests and three ODIs in the summer of 2022. However, the ODI series was scrapped, with Sri Lanka set to host the Lanka Premier League during the same time. The tour will hence comprise only two Tests.
Pakistan last travelled to Sri Lanka for an ODI series in 2015, also playing T20Is on that trip.
Netherlands v Pakistan (away)
August 2022
Pakistan will head to Netherlands for an ODI series that was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It will be the first time the two teams are featuring in a bilateral one-day series.
Pakistan v England (home)
September-December 2022
Pakistan will welcome England for a seven-T20I series in October 2022. England were supposed to travel to Pakistan in September-October 2021, but the series was eventually cancelled. Two more T20Is were added to the fixtures list.
Matches will be played in Karachi and Lahore.
The two teams will then play a three-Test series in November-December 2022.
August-September 2022
Pakistan, who will host the 2023 edition of the Asia Cup, will return to Sri Lanka for the 2022 edition, a tournament featuring six participants. They have won the competition twice (2000, 2012).
Tri-series in New Zealand (away)
October 2022
Pakistan will play a T20I tri-series also featuring New Zealand and Bangladesh ahead of the T20 World Cup.

Semi-finalists in the last edition, and winners of the 2009 edition, Pakistan will feature in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.
Pakistan v New Zealand (home)
December 2022-January 2023
With New Zealand’s tour to Pakistan cancelled in 2021, the side will return to play twice in the country in the 2022/2023 cycle. They will play two Tests and three ODIs in December and January 2023, and will return to the country next year in April for five ODIs and as many T20Is.
