With 60 overs to take 10 wickets, India turned in a bowling performance for the ages to script a remarkable tale at Lord’s on Monday. Spurred by a fired-up Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, handed the new ball soon after their unbeaten 89-run stand that reduced England’s hopes to nothing, India had England tottering at 67-4 at the tea break.
This soon turned into 67-5 post the lunch break as Bumrah broke Joe Root’s resistance to send half of England’s back to the pavilion. While Jos Buttler and Ollie Robinson delayed what seemed like the inevitable, India’s eventual win six balls after the partnership was broken as Mohammed Siraj prized out two more in one over to seal a memorable India win.
If 15th August has taught anything to the British, it is to never mess with Indians after 15th August😎 #ENGvIND pic.twitter.com/IuhvBORNMU

All teams, all sports, strive to find that ingredient where no matter who takes the field or what situation you’re in you find a way. That is this Indian team. 4 days of a seesawing build up to a final day of edge of your seat test match pressure. So good. #ENGvIND https://t.co/FK9UPrRinP

Lengthening shadows. Fifth day. Final session. Seven down. Fast bowlers. Close in field. This is the game I fell in love with. Don’t care if there are 18 other formats. Just give me this every once in a while. It’s a beauty.
