Pakistan teen sensation Naseem Shah could make India captain Virat Kohli his ‘bunny’ when the two teams face each other in international cricket, according to former Pakistan batsman Faisal Iqbal.

Iqbal, who represented Pakistan in 26 Tests and 18 ODIs, feels that Shah’s “genuine pace and swing” would get the better of Kohli, earmarking him for success in a potential battle against the No.1-ranked ODI batsman in the world.

Shah, who debuted as a 16-year-old in Australia late last year, earned plaudits for his raw, bustling speed in the four Tests he’s played so far, picking up a five-wicket haul against Sri Lanka and a four-wicket-haul, that included a hat-trick, against Bangladesh.

Recently, Naseem Shah was quoted as saying by PakPassion.net that he’s looking forward to facing Kohli in international cricket, a batsman he “respects” but “does not fear”. He added that bowling to the best is always a challenging ask, but it also brings the best out of the bowler.

India and Pakistan haven’t faced off against each other in a Test since December 2007, the only format Naseem has so far played for Pakistan.
