India speedster Mohammed Shami believes the current Indian fast bowling attack is the best in the country’s Test history.
Shami, while in conversation with former Indian cricketer Deep Dasgupta on ESPN Cricinfo, said that no team in the history of Indian Test cricket has had as many as five fast bowlers (Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar) in a package.
Moreover, he feels the camaraderie that the Indian bowlers share makes them even better as a unit.

When asked if he thinks the Indian fast-bowling line-up is currently the best in the world, Shami said: “You and everyone in the world will agree to this, that no team has had five fast bowlers together as a package. Not just now, in the history of [Indian] cricket, this might be the best fast-bowling unit. We have bowlers in the reserves who can bowl 145 kph.
This interview with the three quicks was so much fun. Straight after the game so not much time to gather thoughts. But Shami was in a chatty mood and Ishant just took off and showed his funny side. The camaraderie was there to see so I just handed over the mike and let them be pic.twitter.com/uFBlqnzYyO

“Yes, this is the best ever (pace unit in India’s history). As a fast-bowling unit, even if you look at our nature, on the field or off the field. This is the best attack as no one has any jealousy and everyone enjoys each other’s success.”
