At a T20 World Cup Qualifier match at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval in Lagos, Nigeria bowled out Ivory Coast for 7, the lowest total in men’s T20 cricket.
Nigeria amassed 271-4 and bowled out Ivory Coast for 7 in a ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier Group C match, at Lagos.
The hosts took only 7.3 overs to send Ivory Coast packing. Quattara Mohamed top-scored for the tourists with 4, while Mimi Alex, Maiga Ibrahim, and Dje Claude made a run apiece. Sylvester Okpe (1-5), Peter Aho (2-0), Isaac Danladi (3-2), and Prosper Useni (3-0) shared the wickets for the hosts.
This is now the lowest all-out total in the history of men’s T20 cricket, international or domestic. Isle of Man (against Spain) and Mongolia (against Nepal) used to hold the record before this. Outside international cricket, Sydney Thunder’s 15 in the 2022-23 BBL remains the lowest.
The West Indies’s 45 against England in 2019 remains the lowest for an ICC Full Member side.
