Legends League Cricket is a T20 league featuring recently retired professionals, many of whom are former internationals.
The first edition of the competition was held in January last year in Muscat, Oman and featured three teams before the tournament expanded to four teams for the second edition of the competition that was played in India in September 2022.
This version of the competition is set to be played in Qatar and will once again feature three teams: India Maharajas (led by Gautam Gambhir), Asia Lions (Shahid Afridi), and World Giants (Aaron Finch).
The teams are representative of, in that order, India, Asia (except India), and the World (except Asia). The tournament will also feature recently retired cricketers like Finch and Joginder Sharma as well as uncapped cricketers.
The teams will play in a double round-robin league format. The last two teams will play in an Eliminator, the winner of which will meet the table topper in the final.
